“Made with 100% late-harvest Garganega that has been aged in large oak casks, the Suavia 2018 Le Rive is a terrific wine with an ideal level of intensity that is engaging and penetrating but never overboard. The bouquet offers a mix of floral and fruity aromas with hints of citrus, passion fruit, saffron and, of course, the drying mineral tones that are typical of this volcanic territory. Harvest is held off until the end of October to give the grapes time to dry on the vines, therefore giving this 10,000-bottle release its distinctive intensity and concentration.”
