The 2023 Horta-Colomer is a new white from a lieu-dit that gives the wine its name. It’s a 50/50 blend of Cariñena Blanca and Cariñena Gris grapes that fermented and matured in clay pots and finished in a used 500-liter oak barrel. It’s very young and tender, fruit driven and primary, with a moderate 13.5% alcohol, a clean nose and a bright and lively palate with juicy fruit and very good freshness, despite the warm and extremely dry year. It’s a very promising white. Only 650 bottles were produced. It was bottled in January 2024.
