The La Rasina 2017 Brunello di Montalcino Persante (made with certified organic fruit) is a solid and rich wine with a thickly concentrated core of black, plummy fruit. Persante’s personality tends to be a bit more austere and savory compared to the fruitier 2017 annata Brunello. The wine’s brawn and muscle come from the very concentrated fruit produced in the hot and dry vintage and from oak aging. This wine is open-knit and slightly textured on the close. Only 4,000 bottles were made.
