Ribera del Duero. 96p Robert Parker: 2013 was certainly not an easy vintage in Ribera del Duero, but it’s one of those years where the ones that knew how to read the vintage achieved better wines than in an ‘easy’ vintage. I’d say that’s clearly the case of the 2013 Reserva from Jorge Monzón. It’s aromatic, expressive, floral and still very Ribera, subtler and fresher without losing the essence of the place.
