Argentiera – Argentiera, DOC Bolgheri Superiore red 2016

Släpps i juni på systembolaget för 695 kr. Årgång 2016 har precis fått 97 poäng av Parker. Argentiera har fått mycket uppmärksamhet under 2018 (se “Argentiera Highlights 2018” här). Årgång 2015 (jag håller årgång 2016 som ännu bättre) av detta vin fick 99 poäng av James Suckling och kom på andraplats i hans lista “Top 100 Italian Wines of 2018” (se artikel och topplista här): “Our no. 2 wine, Argentiera Bolgheri Superiore 2015, may be a wine that many of you have never heard of or considered. This will stop you in your tracks. The Bordeaux blend from the Tuscan Coast of Bolgheri is fabulous quality and shows impressive generosity as well as refinement. It’s vineyards, located on a hillside overlooking the Mediterranean toward Corsica, are in a unique location and the 2015 highlights the vineyards’ proximity  to the sea and the subtle loam soils with stone. It also sells for about $80 a bottle.”
